It seems like you do this and I've seen other people do it as well.
When you're at the bottom of squat and go back up, it seems like you shoot your hips back and up first as opposed to everything just going straight up. Is that what you're supposed to do?
Or is that just something you do with low bar (I squat high bar).

It's called hip drive and it's used with low bar back squat (LBBS). Basically you want to initiate the LBBS by bringing your hips back that start the eccentric. Once you hit the bottom you want to use the hip drive to use the most of your hip musculature (and leg) to bring you out of the hole and keep you balanced through the concentric. To do this you want to lead with the hips while keeping the
same back angle. You don't want to shoot your hips faster than your shoulder. If you see me or someone else do this it can be because of fatigue/heavy loading/wrong motor pattern.
