What's your opinion on jack link's beef steak for a quick snack?
Nutritional value in a nutshell: 2g fat, 1g sat, 26g protien, 880mg sodium (ouch), 50mg cholesterol, 8g sugar and 160 calories.
Also, is it worth it to push to exhaustion for weightless exercises such as pullups are pushups

Could you help me out with my clean bulking diet?
Pigged out all week after my show so I'm gonna start dieting Monday. :D

This is what I'm gonna be doing. I just feel like you'd have some good stuff to add to it. :)
5 Meals/2 Shakes

4 egg whites
3 whole eggs
1 cup oats
1/4 cup blueberries

7oz lean beef
1 cup whole grain pasta with 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce

7oz chicken
8oz sweet potato

7oz lean beef
1 cup brown rice

post workout shake - 40g protein/2 scoops waxy maize (60g carbs)

1.5 hours after - 7oz chicken/2 cups salad

last meal - 40g protein shake/1 TBSP PB. I'll probably use my casein protein for this shake.

Let me know if you feel I need to add/remove anything.

Thanks man! :)

Also a question about fasted cardio since I want to keep my abs somewhat in the off-season. :P I hate feeling fat.
Would it be wise to do fasted cardio like 3 days a week (mon, wed, fri) for a half hour? I'll have BCAA powder ready for it as well...
And what would you recommend for glutamine intake? I have like 2000g's of it I need to use. Lol

In addition to this, I think I might change meal #2.
Can of tuna
2 whole eggs
2 TBSP Mayo
Bottle of sweet tea

Put that ^^^ in place of meal 2, and take out the 4th meal of beef/rice and put the spaghetti meal in place of #4.

Hello Raynor,
First off, I'd like to thank you for introducing me to the 3 day split/3 day cardio routine, since late march that I started I'm down to 169 from 184. My goal now is to just get as lean as I can, I'm trying to burn more fat and build lean muscle mass, if it matters it is for soccer, just to be in the best shape I can be in
My question is now, I want to really up the intensity and do a lot more cardio, I've also been doing my cardio as interval training on the treadmill, I want to keep this but also so some sustained cardio to build great endurance. Any tips for this or how I should do it, I'm talking approximate time/intensity to build endurance.
I also want to look into circuit training for my weight routines but I workout at home and don't have too much to work with, I have about 150 pounds worth of weight plates, a barbell, an ez-bar, 20 pound dumbbells, a bench/squat rack and some resistance bands, could ya help me build a suitable circuit with my equipment?
Thank you!

im probably a starter compared to you , ive got some basis from what i learn in classes + some experience but id just like to see if my training plan fits me

im currently working in a hypertrophy work out plan doing all my muscles for 1year and a half now
im 5'7 and weight 160 and got a 4ish pack lol
ive started to work on my eating in my last 2-3 months in trying to boost some meals with more proteins/fibers but
not enought to compare with a body builder or some1 rlly cautious calculating all hes eating
thats about it for my health condition and

ive got 2 questions

first : im currently doing my abs in sets of : ( full abs then pelvic then obliques)
my exercices are in order : 40-45ish normal setups ( sum time go up to 55-60) then i do 35-40 pelvices by being in sleep position on my back and lifting my leg up and down
then do oblique setups 35-40ish

my problem is that im able to get my top abs fit and lean but the bottom part seems to be harder, which exercice should i be doing instead / what am I doing wrong?

second question is: ive been benching 140ish on normal bench then decided to switch to make my upper pecs bigger but even after 3-4months of doing incline bench press
i dont really see much improvement, is there anything else im missing what could I change?

Attention Everyone - I am still alive, do not worry. Medical School started back up (as some of you already know) and I am already swamped with work. I have barely any time to perform my daily activities (work, training, and school) and still have time to eat and sleep. When I have the chance I will be back in here answering questions as they were asked. It might take a bit longer than some of you would like, but it's the best I can do right now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
