Been looking at the strength athletes free DUP program and if I'm reading it correct it has you benching 3 days a week, 2 of which are back to back? Am I reading it correctly and they want you to bench two days in a row? Never seen that before

It could be written like:

Day 1: bench

Day 2: bench

Day 3: deadlift

Day 4: bench

Which doesnt mean monday bench, tuesday bench. Its monday wednesday.

Otherwise back to back days is not unheard of, smolov for examplr has friday and saturday back to back squatting (or benching for smolov jr)

nothing special been on my own routine and hit some decent numbers this cycle

315x7 bench
405x8x for 3 sets on deadlifts (haven't been able to pull like I used to due to injury so this is actually quite good for me)
405x8,x6,x5 on squats (new to low bar and this was the first time going over 315 on them.)


Ive been training for the past 2 months or so with high volume and its been working really well for me.

180lb bodyweight btw

I plan on doing a meet in march or so and want to and plan to hit a 540 squat 550 dead lift and 365 bench. The squat will be an american record in the federation ill be doing.

what is your routine?

Ive always enjoyed high rep routines

and your guys' numbers make me envious. Is a good motivation to match/surpass them
