Yup, that works. You're killing it actually.

But GL keeping those pants white at parties :P

If you want feedback on the boots, can you post pic with jeans and boots together?  Lighting wasn't great in the boots pic so that didn't help.

I just bought a pair of black monk strap shoes for 95 at BR (40% off), I was planning on wearing them with jeans, I just saw this chart should I return them and search for a better deal else wear since they dont have brown? Any suggestions on wingtip/ double monk shoes for under 150?

do you have blacks already? you should always have a pair - if you've got one already, then yes, return them and find a brown pair somewhere.

$150 is sort of no-mans land for shoes IMO. You might find some AE or Alden seconds on sale for close to 150, but that would be rare. AE Strands in walnut (select sizes) are on sale for like 215 with a 20% off coupon and free shipping (normally like $350 shoes). You're not going to find firsts for that cheap almost anywhere else.

I'd either suck it up and spend the extra 50-75 bucks or save some money and buy ~$100 florshiems or something. Also check out /r/frugalmalefashion

And I think black double monks would look odd with jeans

Chinos and vnecks are all you need.

or a fitted button up t-shirt (not a dress shirt)

no need to wear old man clothes, especially if this is a "casual" fashion thread

if a dress shirt is casual... what the fuck is the next step up?

If you don't have brown shoes, return them and get brown. Brown is way more multi-purpose and looks better in a casual setting.

Next step up can be a lot of things. Dress shirt + tie, formal vest, blazer, sport jacket, suit, tux, etc. But dress shirt works for everyday casual

Why pay more than 80$ for jeans? You can get a great pair for $60-80. Nice jacket for ~$150. Nice shoes for $40-100
