There was a picture of a bodybuilder walking along the beach and everyone was looking back at him, think it might have been in black and white, can anyone post that picture? Looked like a rather old picture

I bought new shoes and started running today. I walked fast for five minutes and ran very slowly for two minutes, repeated this four times.
Then I walked fast for two minutes and ran slowly for one minute, repeated this three times.

This was the first time in years that I've exercised and it felt great. I could do a lot better than I thought and hopefully this topic will help me get motivated and continue.

oh, fun fact; I've been on a LCHF-diet for about a month now and haven't eaten anything with over 5% carbs in it and still managed to run. ^_^

Nice, keep up the good work :) Remember to eat a balanced diet that provides you with fuel to exercise and go about your daily routines.

Because this topic has generated a lot of interest for an extended period of time, I will try to add some videos that weren't added yet (afaik). And it will be old school, since I was into bodybuilding in my teens (a few centuries ago):

I really think this is a great video:

Also, @ 65 years old, Serge Nubret was still in pretty good form: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdija3z8PFA&feature=related
For those who don't know, Serge was a great bodybuilder who was a crossover from the acting scene in France. He was known for his aesthetic figure and his really rounded pecs.

As a personal trainer, I know that it's hard for people to motivate themselves. The videos I'm posting right now are mostly motivational to the already motivated crowd. Anyone who is just getting started in sports or weight-lifting should probably look at the basic benefits of exercise to find ample motivation. Cardiovascular and cardiorespiratory efficiency, decreased risk of cancer and heart disease, increased daily energy, postural improvement, relief from sore backs, improved mobility and functional strength, development of muscular endurance, etc etc ... this is waht makes exercise so great. Bodybuilding is itself a niche hobby/sport that developed as an underground body art and later developed into a science and a sport. I got into it for a few years and then backed off in my 20s when I wanted to focus on other sports. But it was a truly rewarding sport and I've recently taken a few steps toward a rebuild. No idea how far I'll go with it, but I will stay 100% natural as always.

EDIT: btw please don't visit any sites where the ads direct you in any of the videos, since I don't trust outside sites except youtube and obvious safe sites.
