thats called being attractive.
not hard to keep your ego in check.

It's not called being attractive. I'm attractive and I don't really give 2 shits about my appearance at the end of the day compared to most people.

Maybe it's like you say though, it's not hard to keep your ego in check for some of us. I just don't understand what drives someone to want to compete in BB. No hate, I just don't get it.

I'm in no way saying they are actually like that in real life. I have no clue. It's just the appearance. I've met a lot of fuckboy douche bags at the gym who think they're king shit so my view is going to be skewed a bit on the matter.

That aside, I can't see how you aren't at least a bit of a narcissist if your life is literally devoted to your appearance. Your whole identity is wrapped up in it.

It is the same for me with instagram women. Sure they're physically attractive but I just can't get past fact they take constant pictures of themselves. It ruins it for me.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I don't find the BB dudes mentioned in OP that aesthetically ideal. I come from an athletes background and that's not how an athlete develops or looks.

The un-naturally small waist and hips relative to shoulders isn't natural. I think you (Tear) look better than those guys.

I'll catch hate on it, but if I had to choose one physique to work towards it would without a doubt either be a sprinter, or a high level crossfit person.

Anyways, that's a big rant. sorry

Bodybuilding is a vanity show, it's basically a beauty pagent. I do laugh at people who called it a sport because it involves zero athleticism.

the work you put in the gym dosen't count as a kind of sport?
each sports develop some kind of abilities in what you do
with those abilities you slowly train in order to perfect them in order to win
lifting is something where you perfect a form to lift a weight properly, develop more strength, a better physique and many more

also, what do you think they have to do in order to lean
try to do 2-3 hours of stepmaster in order to lose the extra calories
the 5 am runs that they also do to cut the bodyfat%
the posing that they do during competition is the moment where they show all the hardwork that they did during their workouts and by what they ate/drank during that time

Jeremy Buendia wins his third Men's Physique Olympia title. Not really surprised.

Since we all know the Olympia is corrupt and politics have always been in the way of selecting unbiased champions we can call my boy Ryan Terry the true champion.

Second place one point behind Buendia who will probably win this competition every year until he decides to retire.

50 years of Mr. Olympia and you have:

Phil won it 6 times
Jay won it 4 times
Ronnie won it 8 times
Dorian won it 6 times
Lee won it 8 times
Arnold won it 7 times
Frank Zane won 3 times
Sergio Olivia won 3

like 45 out of 50 competitions were won by 8 athletes. No other sport has that many repeat champions lol.

Because I don't believe most of them do that. Posing also isn't a sport, that'd be like saying modelling is a fucking sport.

I'm sure Phil Heath goes on 3 hour runs everyday... not.

It's exercise yes but it isn't a sport.
