i believe the point of it is.. its harder to eat more calories in a certain time span compared to all day. Also, its great knowing you could FEAST and still be way under your calorie deficit.

I read you burn fat easier in a fasted state as well

Working out while fasted feels better than regular imo as well

i always thought that was the point of it.. you fast for say 16 hours and your stomach starts to shrink and you cant eat as much so you lose some weight.. that was my assumption.

so basically u still need to exercise self control and wait to eat all at once

instead of using self control multiple times a day for each portion of food

i can sorta see how that can be easier. but at the same time, i feel very tired sometimes if i dont eat. food is energy.

yea id say most people would benefit mentally and physically by eating throughout the day, instead of waiting so long to eat.

alot of people seem to have done this. but whats the reasoning behind it? just anecdotal evidence?

just asking cause i feel like if u see results from this its just cause ur still eating less calories overall, cause its difficult to eat so much in one sitting so it sort of limits the total calories u consume if u only have a small time to be able to eat it.

yea u can force urself to eat ALOT in a small amount of time, but its just more difficult to do.

then again u could say well these people counted their calories to a set amount and see better results doing IF than eating throughout the day with same amount of calories. then id ask, okay so whats the reason?

it's beneficial for GI health and immune system

it seems a few studies say theres some good results, but still need more trials and research before a more conclusive answer can be reached.

well... honestly on some days (I've If'd for like 8-10 days so far) my lifts are amazinnggggg. I for some reason can put up more weight on my squats and bench.. but thats besides the point.

If you follow the techniques.. its not hard to stay alert and awake. Drink water as soon as you wake up.. and make you're own black coffee.. I hated coffee before but i love a medium roast black coffee now. it even makes life easier not having to worry about making breakfast before class or getting lunch before the gym

yeah that sounds like it could work.. cuz if your not going into a workout with the energy you need to perform it then your only cheating yourself.

There's little incentive for funding this type of research
