how do the finances work? do you just declare it as income and pay only state/federal income tax, or do you have to start an LLC, treat it as revenue, and declare your wages (thereby paying social security, medicare, etc)?
back in college i never really thought about it, but now i'm looking to be an independent contractor vs employee, and there's a huge disparity between 25$/hr employee and 25$/hr contractor.
/edit: i forgot canada. you get free health care, so maybe it's not that big of a difference for you?
If you referring to the personal trainer he works at a gym as an employee. He gets paid like 11.25 when not training anyone and 25 when training someone, his day is basically full of sessions though, and he works OT.. so
