so i ended up trying sumo squats, they felt good, my friend however said that i shouldnt go heavy because i will fuck up my groin doing sumo? any truth to this

My groin kinda hurt today, after a few heavy sets the pain went away though, couldn't stretch it out either. I don't see a problem aslong as you're not being stuipd, and powerlifters almost exclusively do "sumo" squats.

e/ they also use squat/body suits tho.

e/ whatever feels natural, usually its slightly outwards

knees will come out over your feet if its the case, dont cave in

this vid make me lol but he's right.

Perfect example of that is the highbar squat that olympic lifters use.

It's what I do. My stance is a touch wider but that isn't an issue.

This is another good video from Candito explaining a hybrid squat which is good as well. I squat somewhere in between the hybrid and the OL squat.
