Nah. I've had colonoscopies, stool samples, endoscopes, and so many more things.

Hmm...this is weird...the incidence of Chron's disease/IBD/UC is increasing at an alarming rate...

It has to be something with red meat causing some sort of an inflammatory response in the bowels...that's not good...

Anyway. What results did those investigations yield?

Well in the beginning it was pretty unclear, but they said crohns or uc. Now after a few more colonoscopies, my doctor is pretty convinced I have uc. Although on my charts and everything, it says I have crohns, uc, and gerd. So fuck me right? Hahaha

Chron's and UC are 2 completely different things, and GERD is just acid reflux (hyperacidity of the stomach) which can be controlled via diet.

Interesting, but yeah that's what my medicine/surgery books say, comparing western and eastern diet, animal proteins/animal fats do contribute to intestinal inflammatory responses compared to an eastern diet rich in fiber and is vegetarian...

humans really weren't meant to consume meat roasted over a fire...what do you think

You realize the other guy was correct in his simplified delineation of molecular processes that occur hitherto Crohn's disease, right? And how corticosteroids augment the dysfunctional system, apexing in (most cases) an overall more severe and worsened prognosis of the disease once the corticosteroids are stopped. That's in stark contrast to any alternative medication that won't amplify the sequela.

Lmao you would do well to pick up a book for yourself before you continue the pontifications without ever actually countering a single point uttered.

He was implying corticosteroids worsen the global prognosis of a person. (even went as far as to say " I would opt for other treatments, marijuana for one" (no serious/well done study backs any of that))
Corticosteroids are not perfect but they have IMMENSELY reduced the mortality and morbidity of people living with UC / Crohn's.

I'm not 100% sure I get where you stand; do you disagree with anything said in those 2 lines above?

You guys are really harshing my mellow by brin mortality and shit like that into the discussion.

Anyways, my first day of 20 mg dose of prednisone is Monday and that is also the day I finally am going to be able to take humira. A nurse is coming to help me with my first injection. December 18th was when my doctor started trying to get me on humira and January 19th is finally when I will be able to go on it.

Here's to hoping it works miracles for me.
