Except NO ONE gives a shit about high school, besides scholarships that come with with the vale honor. Every employer and hell even universities really do not give a damn about high school, because they realize it is a joke and about memorization.
I just got back from a career fair looking to hire an intern for an engineering position. There is a reason that there is no mention of high school on peoples resumes. It really doesn't mean shit. Scoring well on entrance exams/ACT/SAT is really all that matters for getting into college.
Are some high schools harder than others? Sure. But to sit there and act like any high school is actually difficult is laughable.
Why do you undermine it so much? Lol if you're an average student, yeah it's just school
It is your gateway to your future (college-wise), and that makes a pretty big difference...
I mean if you don't care about what college, then yeah HS's just whatever. However, I kinda planned
on going to UPenn or Stanford, I didn't try hard enough and failed to get accepted
Edit: Yes, HS is important for scholarships, which is simply for college. I'm only getting 8k a year but when I retake
my ACT, and I do simply 2 points higher (30), I will get an extra $1,500. I don't have that kind of money around
so... I think I'll try a bit harder in HS
