Wrong.
They dont count fiber calories on the label.
Exactly my point. isomalto-oligosaccharides aren't exactly fiber... just long chain sugar molecules. They still have calories in them and should actually count on the label but they AREN'T counted because they're technically considered "fibers".
It's a mix between fiber and a sugar... it doesn't have 4kcals/gram like a normal sugar but it still has kcals.
Don't get me wrong... they're still good protein bars but they're not the powerhouse they pretend to be. I'm still skeptical of the monk fruit sweetener they use as I haven't seen any research on it yet and if it was THAT good then everyone would be using it.
edit/ NEVER accept something a company says about it's product as fact. "Dietary Supplements" are not regulated by the FDA and can pretty much say ANYTHING they want within reason. Diet pills claim to make you lose 100 pounds in 5 weeks. We KNOW this isn't true but yet they can still say it. I know for a fact that IMOs have calories that count as they change your blood sugar level just like carbohydrates do.
