this is what kind of info i was looking for.but lets say spinach has 5 g of one type of protein and 3 g of another in 5 cups, and brocolly has 7g's of that "other" protein and 3 g's of the first protein mentioned. they would fill each other out or what?

The least amount of the two sources will be considered the actual amount derived in grams.

ok so would still probably be low in proteins, but the potassium and fiber in spinach and iron is gz.

btw segouin, yeah eggs and fish are ok in my diet, im trying to cut out red meat and chicken. Has to do with a mix of moral and health reasons.
fish is expensive and im sick of eggs cause i used to eat them alot.
(tuna isnt though, i should learn some tuna recipies)

im trying to avoid eating meats foo'.
think of it this way
half lb or spinach has more protein than a half lb of meat ..... if i pub a quarter lb of spinach in my blender with a quarter lb of broccoli and possibly some egg white and then cook it in a casserole or something im sure it will have more protein than a steak of the same weight. aside from added weight from dough.

Geez in that chart the % of protein in veggies is taken from the total amount of macros in them, which is almost null.

You'd have to eat well over a kg of spinach to have the same the of prots you'd have with some oz of meat. And even then, it wouldnt be the same.

Told ya to read it again.

Not gonna read but I don't think the % has to do anything with weight?

It is like % calories or something from nearly carb-less veggies

Aka 2 cups spinach = 30 calories = 45% protein
0.45*30= 13.5 calories
not even 4g

So it is like 1/30g is protein.

%protein = ~3%
