look at the picture again. the guy isn't as fat as you make him out to be...he is more on the bloated side then anything.

well also we have to be checking who's giving out the information. if it's coming from individuals on steroids it could be different, I'm not 100% sure but perhaps on steroids your body is able to synthesize more protein

eh whatever just my perception on the picture then.

are you being sarcastic on other quote?

no, I'm saying that it could be different if it's geared to individuals taking steroids, for the reason I had mentioned

protein doesn't have less tendency to be stored as fats than carbs, it has more TEF than carbs.

eventually, u won't grow a single gram in muscle if don't eat at a surplus. this topic is as basic as it gets so it's not related to someone wanting to be a bb'er, rather to the general populi.

yes, broscientist, it's 100/0/0 p/c/f or bust.

thermodynamics is definitely your strong suit.

I understand this. Which is why I made sure to specify that the results were for HIS body

I know for a fact that my body did very well with 360-400g/day when I was around 180lbs. However during school and work it is nearly impossible to keep my diet optimized.
I also know for a fact that you can grow with a conservative (maybe 1g/lb or 1.5g/kg) intake of protein.

It all depends on what the individual is striving for, and how their body responds

All about your goals I guess. For me, I'm not striving to be super huge or a body builder. So, I don't feel the need to experiment with high levels of protein that I don't believe I need.
I think its pretty normal for bodybuilder mentality to be willing to test so many things. Bodybuilders are like the guinea pigs of fitness.

Plus, I prefer the taste of carbs.

guinea pigs of fitness? in some senses some of the older bodybuilders were, but in all honesty everyone is different. not every single person will respond to the same stimulation.

that's why one would experiment to see what works for HIM/HER. not necessarily as some lab rat science experiment that's going to apply to everybody.

We don't like to do this we do it because we need to and is biggest part of our training is a correct diet and why we aren't scrawns, If I could I would eat carbs all day if I didn't get fat.
