Since SKC has been busy and all the things going on in his life, I was wondering if you can answer a question or two for me since you are active in the H&F Forum.

I'm a Kinesiology Major, so I know a good bit about this stuff but for a class, I'm required to run a 5k race in roughly 19-20 minutes. Roughly a 6 minute mile pace.

I'm 6'3'', 155 and I'm not in the best cardio shape. I'm trying to gain some muscle weight as well, 5 lbs by the end of the year. Taking in my lightning metabolism, was wondering
if their was a way to gain 5 lbs of muscle while getting into great cardio shape without eating 10,000 + calories a day. Is anything possible for this?

Didn't see the thread at first.

You should be able to train for the race 5 lbs lighter, then put on 5 lbs and still run it at a decent pace...

You do 3-5 cycles of all of those excercises, THEN you do those work outs you linked in your first post?
I'm calling bull shit on this, I'd like to see a video of you doing this.
What you're talking about is about 3-4 hours of training if done properly and I don't think you have the body to handle that much cardio at once without losing your lunch. unless you're spreading it over a long period of time, in which case then theres no point in doing it anyways...

If you can really do this every day while holding a job / life etc.. wow man you're a machine, but if not..
Quit pulling numbers out of your ass to look good on forums imo
I'm honestly starting to wonder if you're a troll

did you mistake him for honestly?

Alright, sample diet is embarrassing. Probably why I'm not seeing any results.

I know sample diets that other people have used, but the Giant by my apartment is terrible.

Foods to keep in mind I think: Breakfast: Eggs, Oats, Nana, Water Maybe some fish oil pills
Eat roughly every 2 hours: snack on almonds, berries, maybe beef jerky although the sodium is high
etc..

Just need to me more motivated I assume.

Any other nutritional advice would help though.

at Honestly : Stop trolling dumbass, you probably don't even know what the fuck Kinesiology is without looking it up.
Answered your own questions?
/afk?

Good idea

you would apologize if you knew how utterly stupid your op was, and that you are a kin major that doesn't know how to answer such a basic question... And you are a scrawn in poor cardio shape. You owned yourself dirty style in each of your posts

Body fat is roughly 5-6 %.  When you think if someone who is 6'3'', 155, obviously the word toothpick comes in mind but I'm really quite built for my weight.  Total weight can be
misleading, since muscle outweighs fat.  Of the 3.1k  cals, what foods would you suggest for obtaining that amount.

Eggs, Oats, Chicken, Turkey, Grass-fed Beef, Bison, Salmon, Tilapia, Brown Rice, Brocoli, Kale, Spinach, Blueberries, Bananas, Quinoa, etc.

lol, i can't get you a video of 4+ hour training sessions homie.
and feel free to consult with any of the guys that have me added on facebook, my status updates are all about the same thing.

or am I trolling every single person that knows me in real life as well?
not likely.
I really devote every last morsel of energy in my body to training and I'm in the gym more than anywhere else.

1 set of 4 reps is the most i've been able to pump out at that weight.
It's not the first core exercise I hit, nor do I start out at 315, and after working my way up it's pretty painful on the core.
Not something I plan on keeping as a staple either as I don't want my core to be overly thick as I have no purpose for it like Burns.

lol nn to get defensive, I added that if you legitimately train for 4+ hrs every day. That's very awesome and you're a machine if you do that in addition to having work etc.
just seems a bit unrealistic if you have a job to go to as well though, I know I can't stand more than 3 when I have to go to work after ;(

And I have a gf though we're not "official".

after the late night whey and banana i'd put it around 2200-2300.

that's pretty much the range I like to be in, give or take 200 cals.

If you can run HIIT running is better than Bike sprints.
I load with so much cardio and I look for prolonged states of higher heart rate to target fat loss more and because it keeps my metabolism pumping more throughout the day, so I prefer prolonged biking, though I really do just about every form of cardio available.

As for how I'm doing it for 35 minutes, the last 5 is a cool down, but typically I do them from 30-60 minutes depending on how I feel.
I have really strong legs so it doesn't completely burn me out to much.

My breakfast tastes better because I have gz culinary skills + carlsons.

You sir have gelatin capsules.

I actually have really good culinary skills, I used to watch food network ALL the time, and I had fun making a new dish every night for a semester or so. But now that I am just focusing on the things in life that are important, I stopped spending time and effort in cooking more tasteful meals and just getting my nutrients in quick.

Oh and guess what, fucking roomate kept me up till 2am last night because he was drinking coffee all night and watching movies, which he was also doing the previous 12 hours but no coffee.....
