This is a serious post btw:

Strap on some boxing gloves, line up 5 of your friends, and beat the shit out of them 1 by 1. When the first one goes down/bleeds/or gets KO'd, the next friend is up. Should help on your stand up.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't think he's Mas Oyama.

Power doesn't mean shit in fights.

I wouldn't say it doesn't mean shit in fights... It does, but power isn't what determines a fight completely. There are alot of variables that could determine the outcome of a fight, power would help.

Adrenal dump, fight or flight; all the same thing.

In a fight situation, under stress, your body dumps a bunch of adrenalin.

If you're not used to being in a fight situation, your body dumps a godd@mn LOT of adrenalin. Heart rate goes up, fine motor control goes out the f?!king window, and if you're not used to the dump, you crash from it pretty quick.

That's one of the advantages to training a lot. And I mean a LOT. Putting yourself into the fight situation over and over, so that when it's showtime, you're more relaxed, and less likely to let that primordial, reptile part of the brain just dump lots of adrenalin, burning you out quick.

It will be an MMA fight, so it will go on my record.. the guy they want me to fight is 5-0.. I'm thinkin its a real bad idea.. Keep in mind, thats his MMA record, I've never had even one MMA fight...

The first guy i was suppose to fight was 1-0, so pushin it this much might be out of the question.. Should i denie, train more, than fight him? OR take my chances..

My stand up is shit, but my grappling is alright, we don't know to much about him yet, but im guessing hes pretty good. All we know right now, is I overpower him..

Lets try an keep the flames to a minimal with this one lol..

FTR, im about 95% sure i'll denie it.. jc about your opinions.

e:I shouldn't of made this thread, its an obvious answer >.< How long do you guys think i should train b4 fighting him?

why would you want to fight someone who is going to destroy you in your very first fight? You always want your first fight to be a learning experience, not something that would want you to quit the sport. Take it in strides .. fight a scrub or two, then fight a decent fighter
