maybe that is your deduction (and one that would make sense)...but if you haven't noticed, bodybuilders are trying to get bigger because they like to be big and that's that (well, if they do good, they get paid too)...also, you may have noticed, it is obvious in the majority of cases that being big and bloated with muscle isn't attractive to the garden variety female
can you honestly say that you believe the huge pro bodybuilders do what they do just to attract women? lol
no i just thought that that logic made sense but I do know why they do it.
They basically do it to be all that is man, and they like to push the limits of the human body, specifically the male body. Arnold put it best when he said he was like an architect but instead of working with his hands and molding clay, his body was the canvas and he was molding it to be the perfect male body.
I think it also can be combined with the fact that they just get caught up in weight lifting so much and like the constant progress that they just end up focusing all of their time and effort into it and probably one day said oh what the heck im going to enter a show, and then they won and kept doing it.
Also probably has to do with body dysmorphia where they do not have a realistic body image of themselves.
