But I'll still be burning out on 20 reps? Won't that trigger more muscle fibers?

I just know I built a decent chest in 8th grade only from push-ups lol.

trigger them, but through which energy pathway? mpk stress of contractile proteins from bodyweight exercises is only half-achievable at a sarcoplasmic stimulus range if you're extremely untrained and/or extremely heavy. otherwise, it won't even make a dent.

Ahh so I suppose this goes back to the basics and having to overtime increase weight in order to grow?

There's other studies too.. but here's some showing green tea extracts essentially don't increase metabolism/fat oxidation and such.. what a surprise right? But I still sometimes hear that.

"Early skeletal muscle hypertrophy and architectural changes in response to high-intensity resistance training"

http://m.jap.physiology.org/content/102/1/368.long

"The results show for the first time that changes in muscle size are detectable after only 3 wk of RT and that remodeling of muscle architecture precedes gains in muscle CSA. Muscle hypertrophy seems to contribute to strength gains earlier than previously reported; flywheel training seems particularly effective for inducing these early structural adaptations."

I still *always* hear that, and from my own family no less.

What about the studies in examine.com that link green tea catechins consumption with lower fat mass, higher fat oxidation, and better insuline sensitivity?
