Your fashion oriented friends made mistakes.
High school kids are not fashionable.  Common is skater clothes with converse.  If that's what your going for OK, but that's not the purpose of this thread.
.

Uhhh, maybe in the high school you went to, but not mine. Skaters don't even wear converse here, they prefer vans/DC and those kind of brands, not converse.

among the guys its more common to wear either loafers or converse-style shoes for everyday use i.e. school/uni and either ankle boots or leathers shoes like Oxfords for when going out.

I myself have a white pair of Lyle & Scott shoes and 2-3 cheap H&M shoes of the same style in grey, white and white/blue for everyday/school use. a pair of leather ankle boots and a pair of oxfords for going out.

More specifically: http://www.atticclothing.com/images/products/zoom/1380192526-49711500.jpg shoes like that are MOST common among guys I see. Various brands used though, L&S, Adidas, Kawasaki, Noodles, or just regular H&M etc.

There are simply better many better options.  The shoes look stupid as hell, they have brand recognition and that's it.  And that is not at all what fashion is about.

This may be bias leaking in.  But I really do believe, along with many others, that they have no place in a wardrobe.

I'm sure they have exceptions, but I think you know the style of shoe I speak of.

Does it really matter lol? I find converse to be just fine, it's a damn shoe. I've never once been turned down at a bar because I was wearing converse. Everyone has different ideas on fashion, I feel that wearing a polo completely buttoned is ridiculous. That's my opinion. Chill out broski.

Also important to note is age group. I'm 20, so when I go out with friends or girls who are between the ages of 18 and say 22 it is a completely different cycle than some who is 35+ and hangs out with / dates 30-45 year olds.

I wouldn't recommend converse for some one who is like... 30. Perfect for people aged around 25 (or less obviously)

I love suits more than anything else, but I can't put one on with getting 100 questions about it, because no one my age wears a suit. Can't wait for my business/investment days to begin, suits all day, erryday.

My bros and I have "suit-up" nights. We go out in tuxs and literally get everything bought for us because people think we are some kind of high rollers. You can't imagine the gold diggers that will approach you, it's absurd.

take off, tinkerbell. this entire thread is O/T

I made this thread to help people and to stop the stream of posts asking what to wear. You have no business hating. Nothing is forcing you to come to this thread. How does it make any sense to come to my thread and tell me to leave?

People ask what to wear when they lift as well. It's somewhat related.

Finally, I know you are a successful bodybuilder and very knowledgeable with a decent education. However you waste it in an elitist fashion by trolling and flaming. The times I've seen you reply with snarky comments with to genuine questions is shocking. If you aren't going to help, that is your choice. But why flame?

Then say you don't like the polo. Don't say he simply looks ridiculous. Make a contribution instead of flaming if you are going to post something.

Ofc you don't wear a suit. You aren't going to work or a formal party.

At the same time, most 20 year olds are underdressed. That gives you a lot of room to play over without being overdressed. Then you can look good.

Suits all day everyday is the lifestyle I want. Of course it would imply that you have an important job and work round the clock (i.e. anywhere from 8 am to 2 am is technically work hours) so you can blame not having enough time to change for looking absolutely fabulous 24/7

Juice.... What is your opinion on white jeans, and blue blazer combo at night? Or is it just a daytime beach and boat thing? Or maybe a light blue polo?

Pretty risky. Very situational. I would avoid generally. It doesn't really look good to me, so I don't see it being worth it to purchase for those rare times.
