just wondering why u cram the 3 workouts so close together in the week then have such a large rest period? wont your tris still be recovering from chest/bi day if u are benching heavy?

Hey there...

this is because the first two workouts are synergetic and actually accentuate the burn-out function thus leading to further muscular breakdown and eventually development. The reason there is ONE rest day between day 1-2 and day 4 is because legs are so intense that they usually will require their own FRESH day to do.

The 3 solid days of rest afterwards are to help rebuild and grow after the brutality in the 3 workout days prior.

Can taking digestive enzymes decrease the ability for your stomach to make it's own acid?

please try to avoid hijacking the thread.

Thanks!

Excuse my frustration with the multinationals and soda in general.

When I see that word (soda) I go into a blind rage.

lol it's okay - no worries.

diet soda in general is okay in moderation...no need to throw the baby out with the bathwater here. It keeps us sane during cutting when sugar is something we can only dream of.

In the words of Markus Ruhl.......Diet Coke prevents me from doing horrible things

only if taken in true excess.

supplementational enzymes are beneficial to protein absorption and digestion

day 3 - REST

day 4 (legs/shoulders) - Squats, Military Press, Lunges, Lat Raises, Calf Raises, BB Shrugs

day 5 - rest

day 6 - rest

day 7 - rest

REPEAT

the 3perweek regimen is not NEARLY as effective as a 5 day regimen. However this will get the job done in terms of pure strength.

Make sure to go heavy with every set, push yourself to your max every workout and give it everything you have. Train with a partner for added benefit.

One further question, what about the rep schemes?

And thanks, I really appreciate it. Also, I know it's not as effective but I can't really manage 5 days a week right now unfortunately.

for sets/reps...try to get at least 4-5 sets of each, with a pyramid rep scheme starting at 10-15 reps for the first 2 sets and moving down to 6-8 reps for the next 2...and finish with 2-4 reps. Go heavy for strength!

Is it okay if I add cardio to my strength training routine, like 3 days aweek.

as long as you aren't trying a PURE bulk this is fine...just make sure you do it post-workout
