275lb (125kg) x 5 squat @ 185lbs... my squat has been struggling for a long time, decided to bring the bar lower on my back and instantly felt improvement.

Adipowers + knee sleeves are still in transit (just moved recently) so I feel like those will help too.

Constructive criticism greatly appreciated, I know I got some butt wink (especially 2nd/3rd rep) but I feel like it's unavoidable?


Is that chelsealifts squatting?

hey guys, how would a first timer to clean & jerks go about starting? I have the deadlift motion down as well as the overhead press.

You're okay. Just incorporate high bar and front squats to help strengthen that aspect of the lift.

Look at how Layne Norton squats, its nearly a goodmorning lol

deadlift & ohp help with strenght but not with the lift per se

Pretty sure I've lost some weight but no scale here so not sure.

super grind through my squats today but crushed it :)

This gym has no bench that unracks at my height unfortunately so can't keep shoulders tight. Most of the other guys are huge and don't look natty plus speak Swedish so I don't dare ask for a lift off lol. Tried chatting with a guy in the change room and he looked at me like who are you. Ah well.

Nice lift 275x5 pretty strong
Focus bringing chest up with the hips
Maybe drive the elbows down to help ? Not sure
Prolly get hate for that since Rippytoe says drive elbows back
I just started low bar as well and it still feels weird as fk. I keep changing / tweaking things trying to find a better position. It is extremely hard tho with non existent rear delts. I actually like low bar with converse over the adipowers

Notes
-ankles/ Hammies extremely tight from squat/DL on Tuesday
- def had 50+ if my cousin was lifting with me , or someone with high energy lolz
-still playing with low bar , not sure about wrist/ elbow position
- Fuck Stronglifts 5x5
