I don't hate Alpha by any means.  I just can't stand anyone that compares one lift.  Who gives a shit what your bench is.  You can't just say your best lift and claim your stronger because you compared your bench

Balla would massacre Alpha in the big 3.  That is my point.

Besides, he still doesn't squat, so he still doesn't lift seriously.

Woah, woah, woah. Don't you dare take the Boxa route on this. Balla would get obliterated if they did the big 3 by bodyweight relevance. Whether you guys like it or not, Alpha is still strong as hell. His form on DLs is awful, and I fear he'll be in a wheelchair soon, but still.

Pretty sure he benched 300 at 140, so that's over 2x, he squats 275x5, so we'll just say he hits 300 MINIMUM for 1, so that's over 2x, and he DLs 425 at 140... That's just barely over 3x. Balla on the other hand weighs in at 223 currently, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say 210. He DLs, what, 500 max? Not even 3x there. I know he squats less than that, so he may be a bit ahead of Alpha there, but then Bench. I doubt Balla benches 420.

Simply put, you can't compare someone who weighs 140lbs to someone who weighs 210lbs in overall. Hey, I weigh 500lbs and squat 500lbs. Congrats man, you're fat.

No one except for small people really cares about pound for pound to be honest. If someone deadlifts 100lbs more then you, that person is stronger simply put.

With that logic, I'll counter it and say "no one except for fat people disregard pound for pound, to be honest. If you deadlift 100lbs more than me but weight 100lbs more than me, then you're just fat and weak."

Do you see what the reverse sounds like? Pound for pound matters, or else there wouldn't be weight categories in sports. Brb, I weigh 170lbs, but I'll try to out-lift this 300lb guy.

Depends on what you define as strength. We could be talking about overall strength or relative strength. It is generally assumed that the heavier you are, the stronger you are, though.

P.S. I never denied being heavier means you can lift more, so I don't know where you're going with this.

Except the reverse makes no sense because if someone lifts 100lbs more, how can you claim they are weaker? They simply moved heavier weight then you did. Also if you ask me, the only reason there are weight classes in sports is because it gives multiple people a chance to win.

They're weaker relative to their weight, that's how. There are weight classes because people who are 5'6 don't have the same muscular potential as people who are 6'0. Well, in my eyes that's why, anyways.
