Strenght overall today was not that great, been having doms in lower back pretty much all week.
Really need to work on strenght but especially the technique during the transition, it's real bad atm (second time doing continentals though)
Also need to find a better place to ''rest'' the bar, the amount of fatpinch I get atm is horrible, bleed through my shirt a bit today.
110/242 and 120/265 here, fail on 120kg though.
I think I can fix 130/285 before the summer if I fix my technique though :)

typical strongman clean.
Maybe a bit :) i don't have to much gut to rest it on though, belt will do until I figure out the technique.

poundstone contracts diaphragm and catches the axle essentially on top of his rectus abdominus, with a bit of lumbar extension to provide a ridge. be careful with this though, i would imagine theres a lot of stress on that lumbar spine when doing this and you'll need strong abs to counter it

I have a hard time copying the technique of guys that weigh 300lbs+ since I am like 190lbs, gotta start looking at the lightweight strongmans and hope to see someone with ''similar'' bodyshape ^^

Yeah I think probably. I didn't squat or bench at all for several months and I came back first workout benched 75lb dumbbells for 12/11/10 reps and squatted 135 for about the same. :/

I weigh like 170 and used to run a ton and sprint up hills and shit makes no sense my legs are weak. They're pretty big too my calves are very big.

Samesies here. Some of us simply are not meant to squat. I can say without a doubt that squat is the lift I put the most effort into, BY A LONG SHOT, and it was utter crap.

Bench progressed nicely, and DL... I didn't even DL ever and pulled over 500 before quitting.

So yeah some of us simply can't squat for shit, the same way some others have huge squats/dl and shitty presses, etc
