I think that would best be achieved with a henley long sleeve such as

If you wanna stick to your vnecks,

If that's too much for you, plain this would work

Maybe funny but has no place in fashion.  It makes people laugh, it doesn't look good.

On an unrelated note, in this case, you are impressing your linux friends who understand and everyone else is judging you as a nerd :(

i'm very unsocial. im not the kind of person who can walk up to a stranger and just talk, though i'm trying to become more social. the majority of people dont have a clue what the shirt means, so they don't realize it's a nerd joke. on the other hand, i've had two girls (one at a college campus and one at the DMV of all places) come up and talk to me because of it, which is a bonus since i like nerdy girls.

and are v necks really more fashionable? i always thought they looked a bit weird compared to the rounder necks.

Short answer, yes.

Long answer, it depends. But info is there already.

Men, what kind of coats do you wear that look manly/mature.

Like, not formal but smart.
Jeans (skinny jeans in my case), desert boots (google if you don't know what they are), polo/shirt, nice watch etc.
What kind of coat goes with it?

I have a leather jacket but it's not any kind of fit that compliments my body if you know what I mean?
Will keep an eye out for any leather jackets, thanks.

What do you think of pea coats I think they're called, that was my initial thought but maybe a bit too formal looking?

Funny. I wouldn't pay UNDER $500 for a suit, and that's in England.

Oh... Well maybe it's just that I come from a low-middle class family and only recently got a job paying £1k/month.
Maybe now I can start spending more if I wish to and I can justify spending it.

As for a plain black suit, I don't see the difference between a £100 one and a £2000 one other than maybe in inside lining being silk or something, lol.
