You should start a youtube channel, tell us your new revolutionary techniques like Pyramide sets. Share your 30 minutes sets for one exercise. Personal favorite is surprising the muscle.

Well pyramide sets if just one of the parts that makes overtraining, also fck yeah ive been thinking about buying camera eqquip wanna setup a 24 hour arm workout.

Some really good advice in this thread. Exercise like a steroid monkey who injects a ton of drugs to recover faster than a natural gym goer, absolutely beat the living shit out of your body, then lose motivation and lose it all.

Strong accumulated fatigue management, strong injury prevention measures. But hey you hit it for a bit before losing all motivation to do it and your body broke down to the point where you no longer could motivate yourself to do it. Lifting isn't a longevity thing.

Nice stuff. Really good advice.

Candito , Calgary Barbell both have programs.

I have not complete Calgary's but on review of it it has the frequency that I would respond will to. It has a mix of % and RPE.

Who the fck said anything about 4 times a week? I would recommand 1/2 a week and its also the mentality you have to change, when ur done with a set you have given it your all. You werent able to do 1 single rep more, you see people at the gym barely breaking a sweet. Push yourself every set every time thats over training

1 is suboptimal and 2 is good for novices but at some point you need more frenquency unless you are 300 lbs.

When you're in the final six weeks or so before comp are you sticking to 100% specificity or still performing different movements like c grip , feet up, two inches of the chest pause (or pin press)? Those are just examples.

5 weeks out I'd bench then do 1 assist depending on my weakness. I keep Close grip and mix it with 3ct bench depending on my elbows health but I drop other stuff like OHP and incline work. I'm not a fan of spoto because I don't actually sink my pauses but I could see a use for it for someone who does sink I prefer 2-4ct bench. I'd keep feet up bench for a transition block after a competition but only for 3-4 weeks.

5/3/1 was my favorite, and there are adaptations of it as 8/6/3 i've seen as well.

got to 265b/365sq/435dl on that then blew out my back during some training lol. but I'd definitely recommend this over rippetoes programs, not sure about the others.
