If you compete and dl 5xx @160ish why don't you train at a proper gym?

E; Also stop cheating with that max width and start doing close grip master race and you will have 0 issues with ''sliding''.

I'm actually in agreement with OP. Bars should have gnurlings on them , I'm surprised they even make bars without them. Definitely Dangerous if this is the case.

There are no chain gyms where I live and both owners have to work full time jobs aside from the gym to keep it a float. I'm not sure how much money you think people make off the people who lift weights. You must be in fantasy land or have no financial background whatsoever.

Maybe if you google "I'm a whiney bitch, improper bar knurling" you will get a result.

If you hadn't jumped to the immediate "how can I take legal action or threaten it" mentality this could be a fine thread of how to deal with shit gym equipment. (insert promo for a7 bar grip shirts)

But because you made yourself out to be that way right off the bat you are the one that will not be taken seriously.

Putting that aside and looking past that I have gone to gyms in the past before I moved where a group of powrrlifters just tossed a few bucks in a pot together and purchased a few nice bars. The gym was more than willing to keep them locked and stored there for their use only.

Iv also seen this with calibrated plates.

The average going rate of legal council is between 450 to 800 per hour for average council. Even if you wanted to make a real threat it would have to come from a lawyer for then to take it seriously and at that point you could have just purchased multiple bars yourself.

Difficult to type on a phone.

I'd seriously inquire if they would store a bar for you and if you have any buddies just split the cost. Iv seen it work and really it wouldn't run you much.

Don't you live in Vancouver..?

I'm pretty sure all gyms make you sign a waiver that protects them against injuries that happen in their establishment... Looks like your seeing if you would ever have a leg to stand on in court before you go ahead and drop a damn bar on your face trying to make a buck.
