Tats are great for gaining credibility in a prison yard and horrible for getting respectable jobs or looking proper at a cocktail party.

Don't get a sleeve.

either you're old and completely out of touch with western culture

or you're neurotic and holding on dearly to something told to you by somebody who's old and completely out of touch with western culture

you call movies "pictures", too?

No many professional work places still frown on visable tattoos outside a suit / shirt and tie. There is still a stigma. Obviously most labour jobs tattoos play no roll what so ever.

Just a basic google search shows it's still a stigma. Yes it has dropped over time but the % of hiring managers and partners that view it as a negative should still impact your decision. Do you really need your hands and neck inked.

I wouldn't hire someone with neck or hand tattoos in public practice. You're constantly working with a wide verity of clients that have different views it just wouldn't make since from a business stand point to run the risk.

Maybe in retail and office jobs, but in the medical field and labor field they don't give a shit. I know nurses, NPs, PAs and Doctors that have tattoos, from small pieces to full sleeves.. Hell, there's a doc on staff at Hopkins that has a chest piece that rolls into his neck.

So.. I guess if you want to work for Dunder Miflin, avoid the tats.

Don't get a tattoo dude. You wouldn't put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari.

I don't care if your entire body that can be covered by normal work attire (suit) or shirt and tie is paint by numbers. As long as its not neck, face and hands.
