No, that's what you said. The doctor asked why op ate so much protein, because his body could make it. It had nothing to do with meat intake, the GI just took issue with the moderately high protein intake. Op just happened to say it came from milk, whey and meat. You're just trying to be a smarty pants, but you look like an idiot.
I'm not trying to diss my butt doctor but it wasn't about quantity of protein. Not once did he express why so much protein or the potential consequences of that.
He had an issue with targeting protein consumption as a macro, I don't think 150G (which I probably get less) for 200lb isn't that much.
As in, I like drinking skim milk for the taste and because it's protein.
To him, protein makes you fat, you shouldn't target it for building muscle and your body can convert carbs, sugars, fats, into protein vice versa because the body knows what it needs.
Also, you shouldn't focus on consuming protein because it fucks up your metabolism in some way your body gets used to getting the protein? (which afaik was an idiotic statement by him because I told him I eat pasta, rice, oatmeal, foods with fiber and use oils for fats so it's not like I'm on some Keto diet).
He asked me why all these people outside are fat and I replied with they consume a lot of calories, probably a lot of sugary foods and they don't exercise.
I forget what he said but he disagreed with that, I think he targeted processed foods.
I really don't care, I just lift weights to get swole. I'm a software engineer so I don't take any pride in my health knowledge or try to exert my bro knowledge of the swollygym to doctors or people. Just this experience was equivalent to when I found out santa claus doesn't sneak into everyone's homes.
