Agreed. This has been the hardest part, with my wife working at a pizza shop, it's all to easy to have pizza almost every night of the week. My self-control has been garbage, but luckily she's done working there this week, since we're moving soon. Hopefully I can be stricter with myself and the food going into this temple-in-progress.

My way to promote self-control would be to have food at the ready, whether it be a snack or a full portion. I feel like the majority of unhealthy eating decisions are made via the simple fact that people want instant gratification, and when hunger hits, it's easier to grab something than prepare it (especially after work or late at night).

That makes a lot of sense. I'm going to have to start doing meal prep.

The hardest part of that is having a wife who doesn't want to have the strict controlled diet, so we're going to have to start doing separate shopping orders, I guess. HELLOOO grocery bill.

If shes not willing to support you in bettering yourself id say its time to move on.. Im not trying to be rude but im gonna go out on a limb and say shes overweight as well.. When you start to get in shape your going to look at her and say "wtf am i still doing with you"

Don't know what world you live in, but marriages are based on more than that. Get over yourself.

And I didn't say she's not willing to support my self-improvement, she's just not into being on the strict diet of it, so it's really only going to effect the grocery bill.

Yeah when you're married it's a little different. If anything she'll see his sexy abs and want to look better herself. One of my ex's started working out (I was in shape and was about 6 years ago) I just smoked a doobie while she was in the gym
