Gyms are meant for improving yourself. Should give 0 fucks what anybody thinks besides yourself.
And I dont know about smaller guys, but I squat up to 315 and I never use chalk or that cushion bullshit.
Imo, if you cant handle the weight, dont do it.
(talking about realistic weights, not that 900lb god-among-men weight)
I usually bench and deadlift shirtless unless I use a belt. Not like I lift at a commercial gym tought.
Squat with shirt and most likely chalk when I get heavy or have elbow pain from lowbar squatting.
