Just start by eating as clean as you can.
Cut all processed foods, all fake sugars, aim for like 200g protein a day... Start there, you're 16... So you're still in highschool which I will assume means you aren't buying your own groceries and cooking all your own meals.
Just try and eat fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, meats... Depending on how intense your workouts are you may need to add more carbs but you should be able to get plenty from things like sweet potatoes.
At the end of the day you're entering your absolute prime, you've barely lifted at all in your life, and even a decent diet and lifting program will probably get you great results.
When I was 16..... Omg I ate like shit, trained like shit, had terrible form, and still was making 10x the gains in a say 6 month period that I do now in my early 20s lol, even tho my programming and diet are 100x as good
Edit: please don't blindly follow these "if it fits your macro" kids... pay close attention to what people tell you, anyone that's saying you can eat a sleeve of Oreos a night because they fit your macros... Needs to be ignored.m
Edit edit: man I thought the bball forum was bad with trolling lol. People ask for help and get no where here.
LOL please don't listen to this guy. For the love of god.

don't you want to stay away from starches and other certain types of foods like high fructose or something like that? I also have a 5lb tub of Muscle Pharm Chocalate Peanut butter Protein. I usually take 2 scoops. I haven't been taking it though cause I was trying to cut out weight but I definitely need to start taking it again.
1g of protein and carb = 4 calories. 1 g of fat = 9 calories
Carbs are the number 1 source of energy that your body uses for your brain and plenty of other things. Please don't avoid carbs.
