NO IT IS NOT. Most countries I've been in (like 30+) have absolutely unbearable tap water.

I drink tap water, then again I don't live in a third world country like most of you

Are you sure you have tasted Danish tap water? Everyone here drinks from the tap and it is in very good quality and taste.

Filtered tank water, so clean.

The last time I was given tap water, the odor of the chlorine was so much more obvious than when I drank tap water, and it tasted awful.

I avoid it where possible.

I have been to Copenhagen 5 times with a group of lads (usually anywhere from 5-20 of us) and the first thing we do is buy bottled water because the tap water doesn't taste nice at all. It tastes metallic and unfiltered.

I have yet to taste anything like the tap water we get at home in the many countries I've been too, then again I've never been to a mountainous first world country (Like Switzerland or Austria) that supposedly has high quality tap water too

I remember looking at a list of countries with the best tap water (usually Swizterland or Norway first) but what worried me was that the U.K. was placed very high on these lists which is absolute bullshit, English tap water tastes like cancer, and that's coming from some one who is English.

So if UK's tap water is consider among the best I can't imagine how horrible every where else is.


Norwegian tap water > English bottled water. Seriously, I've tried every brand over there but they taste pretty bad. My mum recommended some Scottish brand which comes from the mountains of Scotland which supposedly tastes similar to Norwegian water. Have yet to taste it though.
