those asymmetrical abs look cool

it's kind of weird. I have 4 on one side and 3 on the other.

yeah, 2 on my thigh and a 3rd (my first tat) that's big on my back. And thanks.

Most things aren't bigger due to the fat loss compensating for the muscle gain but I've gotten a lot stronger. That's all that really matters to me. Idc how big I am or get or aesthetics tbh. I just want to lift more weight

my waist has thinned out by an inch-inch 1/2, most other measurements are the same or only slightly different. The differences are far more noticeable irl than in pictures. It's nice to see measurable and visible gains. My shape has changed.

Overall I'm 2-4 lbs heavier than when I started but have also lost fat in that time as well. overall probably 6-8 lbs of muscle gain in 4 months.

In a few more months I'll hopefully be where I was at when I stopped going to the gym in 2011. I've surpassed my DL numbers already but I didn't DL much then and didn't use chalk then which was my biggest problem for lower numbers. The bar was always slipping through my hands. Squat is still short and so is bench compared to before. Lat pulldown and shoulders aren't even close to what they were though. Wouldn't mind getting to the same leanness as back then too.

getting old sucks tho... old injuries start to ache and it's easier to pull, tweak or tear stuff up.

Guess I'll update this...

Did a 1rm on deadlift for the first time in over 4 years. Got 355. Could have probably gone higher but my hamstrings are sore

So DL 1RM = 355 (3x6x305)
Squat = 3x6x275 (also did 3x8x265 2 weeks ago)
Bench = 3xx6x185 (also did 3x8x180 a week or 2 ago)

Feeling strong. I weigh more than I ever have by a small margin. I weighed 169 today at the gym.

changed my workout this last week. It's WAY different than what I was doing previous. Now I'm focusing more on strength now. If inquiring minds really want to know it I'll post it
It's still a 4 day gym split each week. Typically 1 on, 2 on, 3 off, 4 on, 5 off, 6 on, 7 off. Rinse, repeat.

Lighting on the second picture is not good but you can still see what's there.

welp, got pretty sick and have some sort of chest/nasal infection. I felt it coming on the day of my last post (april 19th) but still felt good until waking up the next morning. As of today, I'm now on amoxicillin for that.

Missed the gym all last week. Tried to go Monday but hit the abort button pretty quick. did a little bit of squats and some other shit... bad idea.

went tonight. Was feeling ok so I went heavy but didn't do much for reps.

Got a new 1RM on DL of 365 but I didn't like my form. I was having troubles maintaining good abdominal pressure. Probably from being sick.

did 6x6x7 125lb bb ohp as well.

doesn't seem like any strength was lost from being sick, so that's nice.

I've lost 3 or 4 lbs though. I weighed 166 tonight at the gym. Normally I'd be 169 or 170.

woot, thanks

Now I'll transfer my post from log #2 to hear and that can die/get locked

After my fitness shit with the fire department this spring I was too busy to really get to the gym over the summer. September through the end of October I was going back 2 days a week. got laid off at the end of October. I took the last 3-4 weeks off the gym but am back at it as of this week. I have lots of time to dedicate to the gym now that I'm on EI... so that's nice. Hoping to see some gains and finally break that 405 DL and 365 squat. Would love to hit a 250 bench too

Sore as shit so far lol

I maintained my weight over the summer but the last couple weeks I've dropped a few lbs. I'm low 160s right now.

From what I remember my best lifts this spring were

365 1rm DL
3x8x275 squat
125x6x6x7 BB OHP
185x3x6 flat bench

Starting light this week.

235x3x8 squat (ATG, so a little deeper than my previous 275 for reps in the spring)
325x4x2 on DL (pulled 345 a month and a half ago)

Sore as fuck right now. upper back/chest either tonight or tomorrow.
