Except that my example was an estimate for how to convert his bench weight to dumb bells. I'm not trying to sell him apples at a variable rate. Nice try though


To the op: disregard my advice. Instead use the all knowing hothamandcarl's conversion that he gave. Oh wait...

OP I'll give you a conversion, 5 reps at 100 lbs dbs does not will not ever = 3 reps at 315 bb.

it will vary from person to person

for me 10 reps @ 315 is equivalent to 10 reps w/ 140s

I just hit 315x1 on flat bench last month.

I can do 5x 110s or 10x 100s on dumbbells. (my gym only goes to 110)

Bullshit. If you can only do 5x at 110 there is no way in fuck you can hit 315.
