After ~6 months off from olympic lifting, tried finding a current 1rm with my Snatch

135x3
155x1 (two sets0
175x1x1 (two sets)
195x1
205 (missed 1st attempt) (VIDS 2nd attempt)

This is also after 6 sets of back squats but I was more than happpy with this, yes making excuses.

Aware I was sketchy at the bottom coming up :P

I was more on the lines of... why is oak back on those oly lifts again :lol:

Anyhow, I don't know shit about oly lifts. I snatched 135 one time and it felt pretty shitty on my shoulders. Never tried again. Csb.

I will say I doubt I could do it! Good job m8

gz..~200lb snatch for your weight is pretty good when that isn't what you train for

the most i've ever done was hip snatch 185x2 with like no drop under the bar for the catch, it was stupid haha (i almost always do quick hip snatches, rarely going above 150 - i actually did them last week and got 135x5 which surprised me as i haven't done a snatch since like last spring)

more like a, i don't do any oly lifts and don't really know anything about them so i will just keep my mouth shut.

I wanna be able to snatch again aswell...

Looks pretty nice otherwise! Always get kind of inspired by you for being so versatile in your training.

Just one thing I always get told by the OLY coach at my gym; Elbows up, not back which is probably why you had to jump a bit forward.
I had a major problem with this just during the snatch, the clean is fine but for some reason I always pulled my damn elbows back after the hip during the snatch...

Look's good, Under the bar quick and active shoulders. You started your shrug before full hip extension but it was barely even noticable. Just don't fall forward :p

@ Pure - I feel like you think if I go outside an 8-15rep range, I'm losing gains or fukin around :P
I enjoy being fit. I love working out, and I honestly dont think heavy olympic lifting is going to hinder my bodybuilding progress one bit. In fact, I'm looking to compete in an oly meet in the future!

@rhodes - tyty, realistically that weights not that impressive imo
I guess I am mostly excited that I virtually lost no strength in this movement and am starting a whole new level in terms of strength!

@ Diamond - Any closer and my "little mike" wld get snapped in half

@ Pladd - Thats hvy bro, thanks for the compliment! I'm finding that part of why I love being an athlete is to actually inspire/motivate people... it's a great feeling.
I actually had like ~6 ppl watching me that all had there jaws dropped because they can barely deadlift that weight :P

@ Bone - I've actually been working on some mobility issue with trying to reach full extension, I deff see wat ur talkin about. Thx for tip!
