What is your opiniong on peanuts / peanut butter
I'm talking about the fact that it contains estrogen
this is actually one of the better questions I've seen recently...
Phytoestrogen is the type of estrogen found most commonly in soy, nuts, certain fruits, etc.

As you can see...pure flax, soybeans/soy products, sesame seeds, and multigrain breads are the number 1 offenders of phytoestrogen content.
So actually peanuts and peanut butter are on the MUCH lower end of phytoestrogen content. Virtually all fruits and vegetables have some phytoestrogens as plans are typically asexual in nature.
However, why is soy so bad, and flax + nuts + multigrain bread good?
This all has to do with the exact isoflavone breakdown and direct consumption ratio
isoflavones include: genistein, daidzein, glycitein, formononetin.
lignans include: secoisolariciresinol, matairesinol, pinoresinol, lariciresinol
Soy unfortunately has a very poor balance and results in a direct estrogenic effect in the human body.
Peanuts or Flax actually have a good balance and result in a neutral effects in the human body.
Therefore, avoid soy, enjoy peanut butter ;-)
