Current bench record is over 1000lbs.
The guy who did it was not even 300.

Just because your standards are weak, doesn't mean somebody else can't reach theirs

I'm sure he was 300 + lbs. He's 6' 2 + and looks like he's got a lot of fat on him.
Not to mention he had a bench suit + he probably juiced.

1) that is a record, which means it is the ABSOLUTE best..you can be really strong without being close to a record

2) that example was with a suit, which goes against what i originally said

3) you don't know my standards, so don't pretend too...and even so, how close are you to reaching 2-2.5x your bodyweight, and better yet, what are you doing to reach that standard?

2-2.5x your body weight is very strong, hence why people who can do that are called STRONG!
That's the difference between average, and STRONG.

You got that?

well saying someone isn't strong because they can't bench twice their bodyweight is kinda dumb, sorry

as for average, a great majority of ppl can't even bench their own body weight

i would say benching your bodyweight would make you average, 1.5x your bodyweight is decent, 1.75x your bodyweight is strong, 2x is very strong, and 2.5x your bodyweight would put you around the top of the strength tier haha

1rep max = nothing, unless ur doing 8-10 reps, it doesnt mean anything.
