Not much comes out of bulking faster than .5lbs/week besides excessive fat gain.
Over the next year I'll gain 24lbs. Ill be 190 in a year hopefully at 12%bf tops

Tnx a lot m8! My quads are pretty small but my hamstrings make up for it.
I'm squatting 3x a week and have been for the past 6 or so months

If you do stick to 2 lbs a month you will be a quite a bit higher than 12%. You are no longer making noob gains. See Lyle and Alans models for muscle gain. Both happen to be pretty generous compared to some studies (that aren't funded by supplement companies).

There is a reason some of the regulars like Aube are not walking around a lean 200+ lol. There are heavy disminshing returns as a natural

I've bulked up from 160-167 over 3 and a half months, and i still look just as lean/same amount of fat i can pinch on my stomach, so I'm hoping my body keeps being this kind to me (i'm also eating shit food every day, mcdonalds once or twice a day, eating out at restaurants 5 times a week etc)

I do know that 12% is quit unrealistic, but it also doesn't take me long to cut down to sub 10%

Just imagine where you could be at if you disciplined yourself and actually ate right every day!

I always compare myself to my friends who get their diets in check before going ape shit in the gym and their gains look so much better, despite being a lot weaker than I am. I, like you, eat everything in 20 yard vicinity but unlike you, I gain more weight lol!

Lookin cut dawg

I wish. My fatass is on a cut and can't stop eating ben and jerrys every other day... Just throwing my diet out the window daily. Pretty sure I have binging disorders or something. Hate myself every time, but never have the self control to not to it.

Yeah I know what you were saying haha

You're doing less than a tenth of a pound increase daily. How do you even measure that?

Seems like a waste of time for an amateur.

This sounds a little more practical

Ah yeah 1 lbs + of fat a week. Just think about how much muscle you are gonna lose once you cut. What will you have left?

Depending on how long you have been training, you will be lucky to put on a lb of lean mass in a month as a natural. Aiming for targets like 2 lbs a week will just result in more fat gain and a longer cutting phase. You measure it the same way you do your lifting progress, over time. You shouldn't be expecting a weight gain every morning you step on the scale. Should be looking at weeks.

Then again people have different goals, if you wanna dirty bulk go for it, just don't expect that extra weight to be lean mass lol.

This.

I'm only just starting. Strength goals come first but but having a nice physique is a good side effect!
