I never said u have to squat ATG....

And u cannot compare any of those vids to Gsxr's vid .

Their form Is immaculate

... What? I got called out for having form similar to Cressey and Benedikt's. You can't tell whether or not GSXR's back was rounded, thoracic or lumbar. The angle was awful, as was the setup in general.

I showed examples of everything you claimed was bad. Rounded backs and hips shooting up.

@GSXR,

Stop making it a pissing contest. You're really not that strong to be calling everybody out like that.

EDIT: What I mean is that you can't just take shots at someone in place of defending yourself.

Afficionado is always preaching stuff about lifting and I have yet to say that I DL or squat more than him.

I just don't understand how I'm not making this clear to you ...

None of those vids provides what I'm talking about
They all know how to fucking deadlift
Even the last video u say he shoots his hips up...
No. Not even remotely close to what I'm talking about
He still keeps a huge chest /. Weight on heels /. Pulls back / and comes through with the glutes / hips...

And Gsxr's dl even tho a shitty angle , just happened to be a good example .

Hips shoot up
Legs lock out
Back rounds
No leg drive
Finishes the lift with no glutes /. Hips - all back .

Even comparing to your dl with a really rounded back (. Which I don't like buy that's just MY opinion)
You still used leg drive and finished the lift with a powerful glute contraction /. Big chest

I never said anything wrong about high hip or hip position in the dl
U turned it into that

I'm jus saying I see ppl turning their dl Into a sldl by using no leg drive /. Glutes and finishing the lift by extending their back .

Benedikt does shoot his hips up, there's no denying that. While he's rolling the bar towards himself, you see him drop his hips to a 90 degree angle, then as he's commencing the pull, his hips shoot up.

As for rounded backs, it really isn't as dangerous as people assume it is. Konstantine does it, Cressey does it, hell, the majority of good DLers round significantly at the thoracic spine. (I realize you said it's just an opinion)

As for GSXR's DL, I just watched that video again. Good Lawd, he really does shoot his hips up to the Heavens. There really is a lot wrong with his DL, now that I look it over again. There's pretty much no lockout. :P

Yes benedikt does but that's just not what I'm talking about lol
He still has epic form and keeps a big chest and his lockout is beautiful
And he's Lifting 1000 lbs ... He wouldn't be lifting that if he had no leg drive lol

I just don't like the rounded back , that's my opinion and I probably won't ever have a decent dl due to my limbs being similar to yours and cressey( by the looks of it /. My dl proportions blow) and due to me staying away from the rounded back
But that's just me , and I'm not a power lifter going for a world record .
I just don't like when ppl dl with rounded backs with bad form and use no leg drive / glutes

The dl is a full body lift not a back extension

If I dl with my cousin anytime soon , ill be sure to take a vid and show you exactly what I'm talking about .
His dl is basically a sldl / back extension

gsxr is really egotistical; he responded pretty much the same to critiques on his previous DL vid (IIRC it was his vid). That said, I'm still impressed he got it up with that stance/grip.

I dl like 320
And I'm not bitching at u

It's my personal opinion on your form

I use to dl like that and could probably pull 380+ like so .  But I don't

I'm no dl expert and clearly u can see by my #s

U cannot deny from watching the vid what I said . Ur hips shoot up and legs pretty much lock out and back rounds  as soon as u begin the pull ..  Looking like a sldl .  No leg drive whatsoever

Perhaps this is why my squat is so close to yours(. If not the same ). I don't remember what u squat .what do you squat ? No half shit

How the fuck could you deadlift 60 more lbs by turning the lift into something more stiff leg dead esque? If anything, you do more with good form and actually pulling back

@gsxr good lift.. definitely use a narrow grip/stance though. I used to be almost as wide as you and I narrowed it down when a big lifter suggested it and it definitely helped

also pull BACK at the beginning.. that'll stop your hips from rising without the bar.. just immediately start pulling back.

I can pull alot more weight with high hips and a rounded back .

narrowing it down for you sure did help you hit some new PrS

No lol that hurt my lift
If I had pulled back more and actually kept my chest up that lift would have been much easier
