Stance and grip width are pretty much a preference. And as for driving through heels, you couldn't even see his feet.

I'd like to see anyone drive through their heels while pulling like that

"... The biggest problem I encounter with beginning and seasoned lifters alike is the hips shooting up without the weight. Instead of driving into the floor with the feet, the lifter will initiate the lift by pulling. More often then not, this will make the hips pop up first, taking the hips, glutes, and legs almost entirely out of the movement. This will also bow the back and increase the chances of a back injury from deadlifting! When someone tells me they hurt their back deadlifting, all I have to do is watch their form. Do their hips shoot up first?"

If that guy just said that having your hips high takes hips and glutes out of the movement, you can already delete that from favourites, because it works the other way around.

there is a difference in having a high hip setup vs your hips popping up into a sldl. not to hate on gsxer( love u) but he clearly starts with a lower hip position and as soon as he begins the pull they shoot up and his legs practically lock out, its hard to tell in the vid.

and no im not going to delete it from my favorites just because everyone on d2jsp knows best and has been deadlifting for a few years if that.

I know he did, but that, despite what many trainers say, does not waste energy or anything. If you notice when the hips raise, it's almost before he made any effort. Not everyone can dead lift with know hips. Having too long legs for your torso, or slightly shorter than usual arms and you're done.

Get a kinesiology book yourself. It won't take you even 5 minutes to understand that having your hips high actually removes the stress from the legs and puts it into the glutes.

Some of those trainers have some good advice, but the sooner you realise most of them are simple meatheads, the better prepared you'll be to choose your own info.

I dl like 320
And I'm not bitching at u

It's my personal opinion on your form

I use to dl like that and could probably pull 380+ like so . But I don't

I'm no dl expert and clearly u can see by my #s

U cannot deny from watching the vid what I said . Ur hips shoot up and legs pretty much lock out and back rounds as soon as u begin the pull .. Looking like a sldl . No leg drive whatsoever

Perhaps this is why my squat is so close to yours(. If not the same ). I don't remember what u squat .what do you squat ? No half shit
