And if you REALLY want to dig into the science of “why”, let’s talk about the different affinity of your macro nutrients to turn into adipose tissue. Fats have the highest affinity of metabolizing into adipose tissue, carbs are next, and proteins are last. Ultimately, they’re all very similar, but fats still have to go through way less chemical changes to turn into body fat.
