low T levels also associated with low vit D

supp dat shit get stronk

That's interesting i was trying to figure out if it had to do with hormonal regulation to test myself, but I don't think it does

Exact mechanism is unknown according to google (but thought to be due to T synthesis rather than hormone regulation)
Doubt anyone cares but wanted to post to sound smart heheheeee

if you eat a nutritious diet you won't need a multi; you may consider adding vit d3 if you're in mtl or chicago (just going by Habs Guild & Blackhawks sig)

i can't argue against fish oil, but if you wanted to save some lives you could get your omegas from plant sources

if you're looking to add lean muscle mass i'd probably recommend creatine; perhaps endogenous ketones would be a good idea if you want to lean out more

my top 3 are:

whey protein isolate
creatine
fish oil

Thanks, pretty much the only good related post in this thread!

im getting back in the gym after 4 years off, and i was wondering which 3 supplements you think are the most important

I had in mind (whey/multi vitamines/ fish oils)

let me know if you would replace 1 of them or 2 by something else, also tell me why...

i did pec/triceps yesterday and my right tricep hurt so bad today, feels like knives going in.

I just take whey/fish oil/multi. Fish oil is great for the immune system. A multi is a good addition too but I just take a cheap one.

OP is asking for advice on 3 staple supplements.

Unless if your doc is saying every human should be supplementing 10,000 iu of vitamin D per day. Just seems overboard.

on an anecdotal note, I've heard multiple people irl and on youtube fitness scene say they were recommended to take 5k iu by a doctor and after some time they were still testing on the low end regarding vit d. I really doubt 10k i.u. is harmful when 5k iu pills and recommendations are pretty common.

Doctors will mega dose for specific reasons so unless you fully understand the pathophysiology of vitamins d toxicity I recommend you stick to normal doses. All of those 5-10k IU recommendations are short term intakes. Stop doing stupid things please people
