been lifting almost three month's now.. go to gym around 3-4 days a week

7 mins is fast bro why did u quit for ?

i ran my first ever 5k run around Halloween i am almost 30 years old trying to stay healthy ;)

Good stuff man. What was your 5k time if you don't mind me asking? 35 minutes or so?

If you slowly increase your mileage over time you will get so much faster. If you keep this up for 6 months you will surprise yourself with how much easier it gets. Doing this will help you meet your health goals by improving your cardio vascular health, endurance, and it also melts off fat!

Keep it up man! I'd be happy to share tips and techniques on the running side of things. Keep me updated with your progress.

my 5k time was 36 mins and 22 secs 36.22 i had to walk twice during the whole thing i never came to a complete stop though i pushed myself through it

i plan on doing more as soon as i can as soon as the weather warm's up again i actually enjoyed it and it was for a good cause our local animal shelter :)

i will keep you updated.. i plan on running some tomorrow i usually run on the weekend's and lift through the week

which do you prefer though running outside or on a treadmill ?

when i run outside i seem to hurt more.. my knees and hips do when i run long distances .. when i run on a treadmill i dont hurt near as much

the thing is i enjoy running outside more looking at different scenery but its been so cold out here the only option is treadmill for now lol

Too bad, where do you live? Treadmill is kind of an artificial environment, better choice overall is outside obviously. Uneven surface (how do i say it, lmao?) Is your ally when it comes to getting results. Treadmill is boring af, have you considered purchasing shoes?

I prefer outside running but the treadmill can have its advantages...

The treadmill is easier on the joints as the impact is absorbed more. I find that it helps greatly with setting a constant pace as well.

It is cold here as well, so I've shifted from running outside everyday to most days on a treadmill at the moment. Once spring hits I'll be back outside.

ugh you have abs and you only run a 9 minute mile? that aside...

how long have you been running?
i feel like most athletic people get 6-7, (8 if they are athletes who also focus on having weight) minutes for their miles, maybe you are taxing yourself too much early on in your run or maybe you could push yourself a bit harder?
I'm not sure as to what your goals are though...

I think a couple of great goals you might try to achieve are as follows...

1. A sub 8 minute mile.
2. Running a 5k race without walking once.
3. Running a 5k race in under 30 minutes.
4. Running a 10k race without stopping. (It's okay to walk when needed)

Lol wat.

Do sprints to improve your mile op, good luck.

What are your true goals op? Bc if it's being lean and lean, running miles or 5k runs or whatever is not your best option lol

He's not even kidding.

In the military, you literally sprint a mile in under 5 minutes.

Keep your ignorant, bitch tongue behind your teeth, Tommy.
