I went with ~5 hours a week.. I play random games on my phone either in the morning when I get up, or at night before I read and go to bed. Some times I will play something on the xbox, but rarely. I was just talking to my friend about getting the new CoD, but probably not worth it since I might play it like a dozen times in the year like I did the last one.

As it was pointed out by a few, if it is a hobby, go for it. If you think you will be more productive or happier without it, then drop it. Or, if you can balance the free time with productivity, then keep at it. I have so many little hobbies that I bounce between, so it will just end up being whatever works for you.

Thinking I may drop Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm off of my list forever. I might keep Hearthstone, since I get bored of that game pretty fast & I have every card in that game already.

The intention is to take away anything that can claw at me to step away from studying. The big goal is to practice being more productive in life (I intend to do well in the accounting field).

Considering selling my desktop, getting an Apple laptop which sucks at games anyways (but great for getting work done on). I want to take the desktop choice away from myself so I don't have a designated room to be in to relax.

Lol you're Canadian which means you're doing a 4 year undergrad and a cpa. Play all the games in the world I know I sure did.

If that's you're chosen route feel free to drop questions it's pretty cake.

Already done my 4 year undergrad (unrelated major requiring a catchup program as a result).

Doing a catchup program which takes 1 year and then CPA takes another 2 years plus full time work.

Learning this stuff self-study is a pain each chapter takes a solid 4 hours.

Oh you're doing prep eh. Sucks as it delays your cpa. Are you in a province where you can challenge the exams and skip the mod work? I found the module work is borderline useless. It's a shame.

What region are you under?

Lol sucks that you're in the new CPA program that combined the hardest parts of all 3 designations into one.

I got lucky and did my CMA straight out of Uni, no prep courses needed (had all the credits). Now I'm a CPA, CMA. Studying and doing assignments for CMA alongside full time job was brutal though - hella taxing. Was hella tired.

As for gaming...zero hours. Only game if friends come over or at parties.

I don't mind it being harder. I want to be as employable and knowledgeable as possible.

Worries me hearing that though. I'm afraid of working full time and doing a 2-year CPA program, if the CPA program is really tough.
