It's because the majority of the world thinks the only way to lose weight is to eat an organic apple and chicken while doing 239 situps, 15 squats back to back with your gym partner, and running 5 miles. All of that on an exercise ball and during a full moon.

Telling someone a caloric deficit is the only way is witchcraft to them.

The most efficient way I've seen it done is someone taking a chainsaw to their spare tire then immediately cauterize the wound. Wont be pretty but less fat for sure.

If you want efficient, this is the method for you.

Well come on, there are certainly more efficient ways to losing weight...

Like...HIIT vs endurance cardio. Assuming same caloric deficit, your physique should look better if you do HIIT instead of endurance since HIIT favors muscle retention. If we are talking efficiency in terms of time spent doing cardio, HIIT burns more calories in less time.

Basically if you want to activate Ethiopia mode, do endurance, if you want to look good, train with high intensity.

this is what happens when some1 asks for help. but really does not want any help. i really only read the first page and a half. and that was enough to see that OP doesnt really want any help

Thank you. I've been taking HIIT into consideration and it's something I defaintely will try!

Calculate your TDEE using an online calculator (google TDEE calculator) fill in the info and it'll automatically tell you what your TDEE is +/- of course but usually highly accurate.

Then deduct about 20-25% from that number, and that's how much you should be eating every day.

In may case, my body burns 3600kcals/day, so I aim for about 3000kcal every day.

I haven't ran a single mile since I was in the marines like three years ago, I never do any form of cardio. yet I lost 10lbs in a couple of weeks and have single digit fat % (ref. my pictures in the PYIP thread)

Its all in the diet.

Best way to lose BF is a calorie deficit. meaning eating c below your maintenance. start dropping your cal intake by 100-200 a week with cardio 3-4 times a week HIIT would be best.

You can use an app like myfitnesspal to track what you eat. It's easy to use, you can put in what you ate by searching for it or scanning the barcode with your camera.
