man nobody ever said anything about turning your head. neck extension means "looking at the sky". if you do that during a deadlift, it alters your t and l spines so youre more prone to hyperextension/flexion faults
I can turn my head in any direction I want, up down left or right. Not sure why you all are so worried, i have watched more than enough videos over the past 5 years for proper form.
It is all just practice now
