Industry and What did you go to school for?

Im making decent money at a law firm now but have a BBA and looking for real work.

e/ Oh electrician, thought you were the guy saying easy to make 150k.

Was gonna say hook it up.

I did $100-150kaverage over the last 4 years. Work was booming, not so much now. With your profession you can probably find something permanent and long term. Construction is feast or famine

My brother is in the exact spot you were. Now he has to much debt to go back to Nova Scotia as the money was good while it was flowing. He's an industrial electrition. Think he just found a spot in Calgary but no free flights home to Nova Scotia like in the past

I easily spend more than that on food also. Although less than I used to (Used to spend $100/day on food easy).

$2,600 monthly pay

- $575 rent
- $100 internet + TV
- <$100 electricity
- no debt

leaves tons for food.

I figure JD Irving is still looking for people. The pay will be just terrible in comparison to what was in the west.

spend half an afternoon one day a week making your meals for the week. put each days food in containers and freeze it. Pull it out of the freezer in the morning (or night before or whatever works) so it's thawed and can be reheated.

$40/day for food is absurd

One job was 4 days on 3 off. With a few stints 14 days + straight. 10 hour days. Up north was 20 days on 8 off 10 hour days with periods of 12 hour days.

Disagree, its 30 bucks just for a small pack of 5 chicken breasts here. You eat 2 for supper, have a reasonable breakfast and lunch + snacks you will be pushing 30-40 bucks per day.

chick tits must be scarce up in canada...they cost about ~$2.7/lb over here in northern cali and even that's considered expensive compared to maybe other places
