if your bmr is 1700 then you need to factor in activity because your bmr is not what you burn on a daily basis. your TDEE represents all the energy you expend day to day, your bmr represents all the energy you would expend if you laid in bed all day and were barely conscious. multiply that number by a factor of like 1.3 and thats closer to what you should be eating
