links to any studies? genuinely curious. me walking at a 12-15 incline for 3-3.5mph for awhile is a pretty solid imo. obviously i don't get out of it what i would running for a few miles, or doing sprints, that's like apples and oranges, but yeah, these %'s are relative, but i'd like to peruse an article or whatever you're pulling this from

i dont have an article to support this, it comes from senior physiology of exercise training and muscle function & metabolism classes. walking uses energy, and thats fine, but the stimulus for cardiovascular adaptation at a training level (capillarity, vo2max, anaerobic thresholds etc) comes with high intensity training. theres nothing wrong with walking, maybe some BP reduction but nothing big comes of it.

e: you wont really find a (scientific) article on a topic that just generally discusses it, unless its a review. theyre very focussed on a specific cause-effect scenario or a particular aspect of some phenomenon etc.

no but take your fitness outside if its nice were you live. also don't over work yourself.
