I think what hes saying is that if the guy did deadlifts and squats he would go up alot in body weight resulting in his strength to weight ratios not being as impressive as they are now.

They would still be very impressive. Just not as impressive as seeing some twig 154 guy bench 4 plates like a damn Deceptacon.
